At The Whibley Partnership Ltd, all coaches are certified to Master level in each of the following disciplines:
■ Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
■ NLP Coaching
■ TimeLine Therapy™
■ Create Your Future™
The Master Coach/Therapist discusses with the client which disciplines are most suitable and appropriate. Each session can be individually tailored to incorporate any or all of the following with prior agreement of the client.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is arguably one of the most effective and fastest tools for rapid change in the world today. It was originally co-developed by John Grinder and Richard Bandler in the 1970’s and is continually being expanded, improved and updated through research and practice. NLP can mean many different things to many different people depending on what it is being used for. NLP is ubiquitous and can be applied and adapted to almost any situation.
Neuro refers to our mind and nervous system through which we gather and process information.
Linguistic refers to the verbal and non verbal language we use to communicate.
Programming refers to the unique patterns, programs and strategies that we run in our neurology to achieve our specific and desired outcomes.
NLP establishes what programs are currently running in your neck-top computer (mind). Then, if necessary, the behaviours, beliefs and emotionally charged programs that are limiting an individual can be removed or changed to more productive ones. This is achieved using a variety of advanced language techniques and the clients own sensory acuity*. In effect, NLP promotes resourcefulness and enables you to ‘run your own brain’.
NLP is used extensively to study and replicate human excellence. Techniques are used to identify programs that are currently running within a person (a person of great achievement and excellence in a specific field, area of work or activity). NLP is used to model the behaviours, beliefs, attitudes, emotional states and other critical success factors that are perceived to have had a major impact in achieving the excellence. The modeling results can then be taught to, or replicated in other individuals.
NLP is a very flexible and effective communication model on human behaviour. It is a stepping stone to infinite potential, where self-actualisation can become a more achievable reality.
NLP is extensively used in many areas including:
■ Personal change and development
■ Corporate and business settings
■ Creative arts
■ Sports and physical activity
■ Self mastery
■ Training, presentations and education
■ Health improvement
*Sensory acuity refers to an individual’s ability to use their senses such as sight, touch, hearing etc. to make accurate observations of situations, experiences and people.
TimeLine Therapy™ and Create Your Future™
TimeLine Therapy™ is an incredibly fast and effective tool for:
■ Releasing suppressed negative emotions
■ Removing limiting decisions/beliefs
■ Accessing, altering or improving past memories, present situations and future events
This is achieved by communicating directly with a client’s unconscious mind where the memories, experiences and repressed emotions are stored in their own personal time line. It works with or without the need for a client to associate directly into a past memory, event or trauma. This therapy is excellent in situations where specific memories are unresolved and is thus causing limitation or distress in a client’s life. This therapy can be non-intrusive, meaning it is not necessary to share specific details of the memory and experience with the therapist.
Create Your Future™ is used in a coaching setting allowing clients to access, alter and improve:
■ Past memories
■ Present situations
■ Future outcomes
The client accesses their own personal time line created by and held within their unconscious mind. Although the past memory remains intact, the limiting decisions, beliefs and negative emotions attached to it can then be removed. Thus freeing the client from emotional baggage and limitation within their lives. Measurable goals are then placed into the time line at a specific point in the future allowing easier, more accurate and timelier achievement of desired goals.

Hypnosis means working with the unconscious mind in various stages of trance and is a form of dissociation. A trance is a natural state that we all experience at one time or another, often quite regularly. When we daydream our focus is turned internally and, therefore, we have a reduced awareness of what is going on around us, this is a light level of trance.
There are various levels of trance ranging from light to deep. With light trance you have a high degree of awareness, through to a deep trance where you have little or no conscious awareness at all.
All hypnosis work at The Whibley Partnership is performed at the discretion of the client and is carried out in light to medium trance. During these sessions a client should expect to feel relaxed, calm, reassured and consciously aware of their surroundings at all times, similar to meditation. During these different trance states, direct communication with and access to information within the unconscious mind is possible.
Studies into hypnosis date back to at least the 18th century. However, forms of hypnosis have been used throughout history dating as far back as ancient Egypt.
Contrary to popular belief, it is impossible for a client to accept commands in a state of trance that they do not wish to accept and that goes against their moral values.
Around 90% of people can be hypnotised to some extent, although some find it much easier than others. If you have the ability to use your imagination (such as daydreaming) or have sat in front of a computer or television for an hour and it felt like 5 minutes, you’re more likely to have a higher degree of responsiveness. Hypnosis is most effective in individuals who are highly motivated to make changes.
There are no known side effects associated with hypnosis.
